All I need to do is forget to take my usual medication or eat the wrong thing and I am suddenly hit with Acid problems. At this stage it is too late to take some more medication or some of the Gaviscon type liquid suspension. I have found that taking some alkaline salts can help greatly, however, they must be dissolved in water and taste absolutely horrible, even after it is chilled. These strips on the other hand, are quick, easy and convenient to take just place them on your tongue, and they taste great. The ones I have a nice orange flavor. Then after a short while the stomach problems calm down and, importantly, the discomfort goes away.

These come in a really cute little tin, and sounded like a great idea.
However, in reality they weren’t actually that easy to place on my dog’s tongue lol!
He will eat anything, tissue, plastic, rubbish etc (obviously I don’t let him!), but trying to give him one of these caused a lot of extra stress as he knew I was trying to do ‘something’ to him!
Eventually I started placing it on a licky mat with a bit of peanut butter over the top and left it on the floor, and he immediately licked it clean! This seemed to work well!
I also placed a piece around a bit of kibble and he took it like that too.
I should have just stuck one to the floor, because he’s forever licking the kitchen tiles, in the remote hope of finding a few dropped crumbs! 🙂
After all of that, I then noticed the packet stated the strips could be mixed in with your dogs food or water….

I didn’t want to mix it in his water, in case he didn’t drink it all before it needed refreshing. I did mix it into his food though, which was much easier, although not nearly as much fun as my ‘hidey ninja’ tactics! It is what I would recommend to others though.
The taste and smell obviously aren’t too overpowering as he happily ate them mixed with food, or wrapped in treats etc.
There are clear instructions on the packet (if you read it properly), and dosage is dependent on the size of your dog.

My boys coat is looking super shiny and healthy, and I’ve even noticed some sore patches improving. Don’t know if it’s totally linked to these, but I think it is. He’s been itching and aggravating himself less, so it’s helped the healing. His short coat also feels softer and more velvety than usual, it’s lovely.
I love that these are vegan and soy/dairy free, as many dogs these days have allergies, including mine! They haven’t caused any adverse side effects.
Also, the tin is really small, so these take up far less space in your doggy drawer than tubs of chews or powders, ideal.
I am very happy to recommend this product to others and will continue using it.
